Digital Archiving
DIMAR Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat utilizes the Science and Technology Index (SINTA), the Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD), the Garba Digital Reference (Garuda), and the Indonesian Journal Volunteer System (RJI) to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows these libraries to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration purposes.
Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the journal. LOCKSS is open-source software developed at Stanford University Library that enables libraries to preserve selected web journals by regularly checking registered journal websites for newly published content and archiving it. Each archive is continually validated against other library caches, and if content is found to be corrupted or missing, other caches or the journal itself are used to recover it.
