Retraction

Dimar : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Retractions may be issued when necessary to correct the literature and ensure academic transparency.

1. Author-Initiated Retraction

  • Before Peer Review:
Authors may request to retract their manuscript before it enters the peer review process. No fee will be charged at this stage.

  • After Acceptance but Before Publication:
If the author requests a retraction after the manuscript has been accepted and prepared for publication (e.g., copyediting, typesetting, or issue scheduling), a retraction fee equal to the journal’s standard publication fee will be applied.

    • Retraction fee: Equal to the regular publication fee (IDR100000).

    • This policy compensates for editorial and production efforts already invested and discourages last-minute withdrawals without valid reason.

  • After Publication:
If a retraction is requested after the article has been published, it must be accompanied by valid reasons and is subject to editorial board review based on ethical standards.

2. Editorial-Initiated Retraction

Published papers will be considered for retraction if:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or flawed experiments).

  • The article constitutes redundant publication, having been published elsewhere without proper citation, permission, or justification.

  • The work involves plagiarism.

  • The study reports or is based on unethical research practices.

The retraction mechanism follows the Retraction Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be accessed at https://publicationethics.org/files/retraction%20guidelines.pdf

In all cases, if a paper is retracted, a retraction notice will be published and the original article will remain accessible but clearly marked as “Retracted,” with the reason for retraction provided.
